Nelly Korda does not need any introduction to the world. Her splendid achievements speak for themselves. And this week she will be engaged in two big events. The Evian Championship and ringing in her 25th birthday. The occasion is very special for her, but it has been marred by sports broadcast channels who have ditched Korda at the ongoing Amundi Evian Championship. According to Nelly’s fan page, Nellylegion, which covers all details related to the LPGA Tour pro, sports channels like NBC Golf and Golf Channels are refusing to broadcast any of Nelly’s shots while continuing to show other featured players.
It is anticipated that they feel that Korda receives already way too much coverage. This update was shared on Twitter.

Apologies for some delayed updates. @GolfChannel @NBCGolf @NBCGolfChannel have abandoned showing any of Nelly’s shots, but have featured the rest of the group with TV coverage now done lol.@everyone that thinks there’s too much coverage of the world #2.— NELLYLEGION (@NellyLegion) July 28, 2023
This comes as a big disappointment for the fans of Korda who wanted to see her perform at the major championship, especially after the little sabbatical she took due to health issues. Her performance at the other majors this year hasn’t also been upto par. At the recent Women’s Open she finished on T64.

Korda wishes to see mixed golf between men and women
Currently, Korda is among the top names in Evian with a high chance of winning. After the first round she is tied for the 30th rank. Before her game at Amundi, Nelly was asked about her views on having a mixed golf tournament with men and women, to which Korda replied with an affirmative answer. She felt that that kind of event would bring more viewership. “Yeah, I think it would be really beneficial for the sport.” She said, “I think any single time we can be joined with the men, I think that’s going to bring in more viewership,”
This month Nelly Korda enjoyed a big win with her third LET title at Centurion Club. She won by four over Charley Hull marking her 13th worldwide professional win. This must have boosted her confidence to bag another win at the ongoing major! Do you think Korda can grab a win at the ongoing major?
