Art from Rory McIlroy: All of the players in the post are participating in the Olympics for the first time and naturally wish to achieve gold. For McIlroy, he had been in the 7-way play-off last season in Tokyo and has all the reasons to strive harder for the gold medal this year as well.

However, Scheffler chose to reveal that he only wished to have fun this time around. When the golf community witnessed this, they went into an absolute frenzy. In fact, they are all coming in unison, changing the goal that Scheffler has set for himself.

The golf community finds Scottie Scheffler nothing short of concerning

Have an interesting take?

One of the fans wrote, “Have fun” from Scottie, which is concerning. The answer is clearly “gold.” According to the fans, Scheffler made a mistake on his whiteboard, and the fans are all up for correction. This fan clearly specified that Scottie Scheffler might have written something else, but the true answer is without a doubt, ‘Gold’. They also deemed the choice of his goal concerning, especially because Scheffler had a great year this season. After six PGA Tour wins, including a major, the fans are not ready to accept just ‘having fun’ as his only goal.

Another fan reflected, “Paris Goals: Rory: Gold Medal Lowry: Gold Medal Fitz: Gold Medal Scottie: Have fun. We need you to lock in.” Overlooking Min Woo Lee, the fan cheered on Shane Lowry along with all the other golfers who were framed on the NUCLR golf post. According to the fan, all of the golfers should be opting for gold and gold alone.

Yet another fan was all ready to prove factually how ‘having fun’ is a guarantee that Scheffler will win the gold. They stated, “Having fun is the #1 trait of successful people. Here’s the data:” And to prove they were not bluffing, they shared proper evidence showing the distinction between “high-life satisfaction” and “low-life satisfaction.” They shared the following graph:

“It’s going to be even funnier now when the team wins by 5 after wanting to just have fun,” said another in the comments section. Earlier in the PLAYERS Championship, Scheffler won by a six-shot lead. Hence, fans do not find it unbelievable that a relaxed Scottie Scheffler can pull off the same feat once again.

Someone else wrote, “Scheffler is winning gold… Anyone who goes to the Olympics to just have fun is so relaxed and ready to play.” Scottie Scheffler has previously stated how exciting it is to him that one can represent their nation in the Olympics. However, the golfer had another valid purpose for Olympic golf. He stated that being an Olympic sport, golf gets validation and a solid backup against all those accusations that society throws at it, calling it no real sport. Hence, Scheffler has always had high regard for golf as an Olympic sport. And when he finally gets a chance to participate in it, he is certainly going to have the moment of his life. But fans see such carefree ‘having fun’ as an early prediction of Scheffler with a gold medal.
