Will NBC's star-studded commentary team make women's golf at the Paris Olympics a must-watch event?

Cheers and flourish! The gold travels to the USA after Scottie Scheffler‘s tremendous feat at Le Golf National. But that is not the only golf gold you were waiting for, was it now? The women will descend on the greens on August 7th, and before you get all ready to witness yet another marvel unraveling, do you wish to know which voice you will be encountering in the commentary? Sure, you do, because now the men’s golf is over, and the best in their field are again setting up the mics.

So far, it has been decided that the 2007 Chevron Championship winner, Morgan Pressel, and Tokyo Olympian Mel Reid will be seen as the tournament analysts for the women’s Olympics this season. They will be joined by Steve Sands, Grant Boone, and Tom Abbott, who have already served as the men’s golf commentators.

Abbott had been doing this with Golf Channel since 2005. He participated as a hole announcer in both the 2016 and 2021 Olympics, after golf returned to the Olympics with a 112-year gap. A regular commentator at NBC who covers the PGA Tour, Steve Sands, will be the commentator for three seasons in a row. Grant Boone, on the other hand, is debuting as a play-by-play announcer at the Olympics. However, he has a career of 20 years with Golf Channel.

According to NBC Sports, Analysts Brandel Chamblee and Paige Mackenzie will lead studio coverage of the women’s golf competitions, which will be hosted by George Savaricas and Amy Rogers. Both Brandel Chamblee and Paige Mackenzie will be serving their very first studio analyst roles. Although Chamblee is debuting, for Mackenzie, it’s the second Olympics assignment. George Savaricas and Amy Rogers, too, will be serving their very first studio host roles at the Olympics.
