Leaving 19 players hanging who were yet to take the greens. After a 39-minute delay, the round was resumed at 11:26 a.m. ET. There was further a 64-minute suspension at 11:26 am ET, with 11 players left.
After the dramatic opening round, Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama carded an 8-under 63 and entered the second round, with a lead. When it comes to the world number one Scottie Scheffler, he is currently at four under and is expecting to take home the medal this year. But what is the fate of the Friday round at Le Golf National?

The second round of Olympic golf is scheduled to take place in a few hours. After the grueling first round, it looks like Friday will be a lot calmer. The weather forecast says it will be mostly sunny, with the temperature going as high as 82 degrees and as low as 64 degrees.
There is a 0% chance of rain, which comes out as the most relief, given that the predictions turn out to be true. Even the winds blowing from the northwest direction will be approaching at a minimal speed of 6–12 mph. So, it looks like there is not much to worry about for the players.
