Separated by Tours, united by their ‘struggles’. Max Homa and Michelle Wie West have very few things in common otherwise. The 33-year-old PGA Tour Pro is one of the hotshots in the world right now – remember his Ryder Cup heroics? Whereas, the sun has already set on the ‘west’ for the LPGA Pro who retired earlier this year. 

But, both have one thing in common – a child who loves to take over their parent’s Spotify account. One glance at the year-ending Spotify Wrapped and top songs will make it abundantly clear that whatever prowess they showed on the greens, at home it’s their babies who won over their parents. 

Max Homa has a special request for J. Cole

Max Homa last year joined the growing list of PGA Tour Papas. Homa and his wife Lacey Homa, announced the birth of their baby boy Cam, last November. It’s only been a year, and Homa’s Spotify year-round wrap-up reflects the change.

Homa’s Spotify Wrapped has some room for his preferences, however. J. Cole, Morgan Wallen, and Taylor Swift are his top three most-played artists. Notably, the six-time PGA Tour winner proclaimed his love for Taylor Swift earlier admitting that ‘Love Story’ is his favorite. Interestingly, the American Toy Company, Fisher-Price found a place just after Swift.

While for Homa, it’s his son, for Michelle Wie West, it’s her daughter. Makenna West loves the ‘Trolls’ franchise. Contrary to Homa, the LPGA Pro’s entire top songs list is filled with her daughter’s favorite songs from the Trolls movies.

Michelle Wie West’s daughter leaves no room for mom

West’s Spotify Wrapped too showed a similar story as Homa’s. The 34-year-old golfer, too, posted her Top Songs of 2023, on her Instagram story, captioning, “Tell me you have a daughter that’s obsessed with Trolls, without telling me…” 

The five-time LPGA Tour winner’s Spotify list features songs from just two films, ‘Trolls’ and its sequel, ‘Trolls Holiday’. Hair Up by Justin Timberlake tops the list. While Trolls 2 Many Hits Mashup, Can’t Stop the Feeling, Holiday, and Double-Down Speed Round close out the top five.

The hardships of juggling parenting duties and being a pro golfer are well-documented. As the Spotify Wrapped shows, the struggle is truly real for both Michelle Wie West and Max Homa.
