In 2015, “the shark” sat down with Today’s Golfer for an interview. Among the many topics he discussed was his successful business. The two-time major winner’s company had made over $300 million in revenue that year. The public and media were intrigued by his business’ remarkable progress, and they asked him if money was a huge motivator for him.

The humble Australian golfer replied, “No. Never has been.” He then went on to talk about his inspiration when it came to business. The shark stated, “It’s more to do with the opportunities and the jobs you are giving to people.” Norman believed that success was also defined by how much you did for others, not just yourself. He believes in providing an opportunity for others.

The businessman stated that he firmly believed that happiness came from within and not from material things. “You’re the only one who can create that happiness,” he claimed. The shark believed that once you were able to create happiness for yourself, success would automatically follow.
