If there is any player who has been consistent in performing, even after a league switch, it is Brooks Koepka. Unlike other players like Phil Mickelson or Jon Rahm, who struggled to perform in the majors, Koepka has been on a roll with both the LIV schedule and the majors. After joining the league in the middle of 2022, he has won five titles so far. But rumors suggest he wants to go back to the PGA Tour. For instance, Fred Couples stated last week, “He wants to come back. I will say that: I believe he really wants to come back and play the Tour.”
But Koepka was quick to hit back at such rumors and opinions as he responded, “Everybody seems to have their own opinion, and no one asks me.” However, to defy the rumors and continue with his impressive performance, the golfer has again set the standard with his runner-up finish at the LIV Golf Singapore. Joaquin Niemann finished five shots clear of Koepka to win the event on Sunday.
However, last year, it was Koepka who won the event after he shot a 3-under 68; It was his fourth victory on the circuit. “I’ve put in a lot of work, I feel like, on the golf course, off the golf course. And it’s been a good two weeks to say the least,” he stated back then. But this time, he was unable to replicate last year’s success. “Not really hitting it great,” the golfer said after finishing as the runner-up this year. “But kind of tried to figure out how to finish second because first was obviously out of reach.”

Despite failing to defend his title, he got support from his biggest supporter. Earlier, his wife and acclaimed actor Jena Sims shared her support and wishes ahead of his appearance to defend the title. She shared a collage from last year writing, “Brooks’ first win in front of his son in Singapore,” also she wrote, “Brooks is defending this week. Let’s go!!!” Now, knowing he ended as the runner-up, she shared a soothing message through her Instagram story. Sims shared the scorecard of Koepka along with the caption, “Strong finish now come home!!!😘😘😘😘😘.”
The golfer was away for almost two weeks as he competed in the LIV Golf Hong Kong and then in Singapore. His wife and son didn’t accompany him and perhaps that’s the reason Sims couldn’t wait for him to come home. But besides the disheartening loss the golfer has showcased a notable performance.
He won $2.25 million for it!

Following a strong performance last year, which included two victories and multiple top-10 finishes, Koepka has continued to showcase his consistency this season. So far, he has recorded two top-10 finishes, including a runner-up result at the Singapore event and T7 at Adelaide. His performances, along with praise from his wife, Sims, highlight how he could remain a key player in the league. However, Koepka himself has yet to provide any clear confirmation regarding his continued future with LIV Golf.

Brooks Koepka’s uncertainty amidst speculation…
Despite his steady performance, Koepka has expressed concerns about a potential league change. Speculation grew after Fred Couples hinted at his return to the PGA Tour and this fueled rumors, Koepka’s own comments before the LIV Golf Singapore event added further intrigue. As stated earlier, he responded, “Everybody seems to have their own opinion, and no one asks me.”
However, rather than outright dismissing the speculation, he acknowledged the uncertainty surrounding his future. “Like I’ve said before, I’m not in those rooms. I’ve got a contract obligation out here to fulfill, and then we’ll see what happens.” He left the PGA Tour in June 222 for a fat LIV contract, which was worth more than $100m and runs through 2026.

“I don’t know where I’m going, so I don’t know how everybody else does,” Koepka said. “Right now I’m just focused on how do I play better, how do I play better in the majors, how does this team win, and then we’ll figure out next year and how to play better again.”
“It’s the same thing. It’s just a revolving cycle.”
However, weeks ago, Couples also revealed that he and Koepka would talk “all the time” and stated he believed the golfer wanted to return to return to the tour. These comments came at a time when the PGA Tour and LIV continue with their merger negotiations that also got President Trump involved.
