It is not every day we see some newbie enter a professional realm and become a threat to many sitting there. But this is not the case with 20-year-old Rose Zhang. After breaking the Tiger Woods record in her amateur career, she made a strong entry into the professional world. She won her first pro event, the Mizuho Americas Open. Everyone playing golf at the time knew what they were up against.

Now that she is successfully embarking on her first LPGA season with Solheim Cup experience, Zhang is all set for the next season. However, she will face two new threats during her second LPGA season.

The LPGA’s 2024 season will include two new stars. Jiwon Jeon and Natasha Andrea Oon obtained their 2024 LPGA cards as a result of the Epson Tour race. They both have two more Epson Tour contests to compete in.

On the Epson Tour’s official money list, Oon is listed in the first position. The Malaysian golfer also has seven top-10 finishes in the Epson season.

Oan is eager to learn from all the players and how they conduct themselves, speak, or even walk in events. ”I am in awe of them for sure, so I’m looking forward to learning from them and looking forward to competing with them,” said Oon.

Jeon has been working hard for the card, so this moment is incredibly emotional for her. “It’s been a ride, so many ups and downs, but I proved to myself this year that I’m good enough to play on the LPGA Tour. Two wins this year mean a lot and proved to myself that I deserve to win and to play on the LPGA Tour, so I’m very happy,” said Jeon.
