What began as a feud between two sides, the PGA Tour and LIV golf, has festered into something much worse. The players and members of both leagues are now at each other’s throats. The most intense rivalry among them is that of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy against the Saudi-backed side’s CEO, Greg Norman. The three have, on multiple occasions, lashed out at each other. But it seems like Norman is now putting an end to it, as per his most recent statement.

LIV’s CEO has been the target of the PGA Tour ever since he came into power last November. Recently, the hate against him had been taken to the next level. Some had suggested that he was the one standing in the way of an agreement between LIV and the Tour.

The Shark recently spoke to ‘bunkered,’ where he opened up about the harsh comments that McIlroy and Woods have had for him lately. Both PGA loyalists had opened up and suggested that Norman needed to be sacked as the CEO of LIV Golf. They claimed that only after Norman was out of the picture could peace talks begin.
But the Australian was paying them no heed. He said in his interview that the two golf greats were clueless. He said, “Rory and Tiger have no idea what they’re talking about.” The ex-pro golfer then added that LIV’s chairman had complete faith in him and backed him “One thousand per cent.”

Norman explained that there was no reason at all to doubt that he was going to stick around at LIV. He claimed that his departure was never once brought up as an internal topic of discussion. Norman believed that regardless of what anyone else said, the chairman would support him.

Norman stated that he knew what both Woods and McIlroy were up to and wanted to accomplish with their statements. He said, “I know what they’re trying to do.” They’re trying to bait me to draw me into a public back and forth with them.” The Australian great was certain that the PGA players were only scheming to get him to lash out at them.
But the Shark refused to indulge them. He stated, “I’m not going to go down that childish path.” The two-time major winner was determined to put an end to the fire that Woods and Rory were trying to start between them.
