Tiger Woods‘ recovery after injury has been keeping him off the course in the last few months. He has recently taken up the position of PGA Tour director and is busy spending his days fitting into that role. However, the people, who are or were associated with him in the past, have the Ryder Cup craze with them.
Woods’s ex-coach Hank Haney took to Twitter to announce which players are his picks for this year’s Ryder Cup. He named LIV defector Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, and Lucas Glover.
But he highly doubts that all of these six will make it to the team. As per reports, Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas are certain to make it to the team.
This is who I’d take for the USA Ryder Cup team but there is no way that these will be the 6 picks. No chance, blutarski chance.
Brooks Koepka
Jordan Spieth
Rickie Fowler
Colin Morikawa
Keegan Bradley
Lucas Glover— Hank Haney (@HankHaney) August 29, 2023
Hank Haney’s picks have created quite a stir on the social media platform. And fans appear to agree with his six picks.
Great call but why there is no DeChambeau, fans ask!
Taking to the comment section, fans shared their own views on who among these names should be on the team. Some wondered why Bryson DeChambeau is not on the list. Some believe that Keegan and Lucas deserve a spot over Thomas who hasn’t been is great form lately. Let’s check out some of the interesting comments.
I agree with putting Keegan and Lucas on the team. They are both playing really good golf right now and deserve to be on team. If ZJ isn't going to put any other LIV golfers on the team then those guys deserve it over JT for sure. I like JT, but he has some serious work to do.

While Thomas is among the lead runners to join, according to this user’s theory, Glover will replace Thomas.
I think this will be the list except they will swap JT for Glover.

This fan shared his own modified list by adding Bryson DeChambeau, another aspirant Talor Gooch and Patrick Reed. These players are also wishing for a Ryder Cup spot.
WHOA…You know what, Hank— this isn’t a bad list!! I fully expected some variation of:
Brooks
Bryson
Gooch
Spieth
Reed
Glover— Tyler Olsen (@DickBlandTrackr) August 29, 2023
This man wondered why despite being a strong contender, DeChambeau, who scored a fantastic 58 in the last round at Greenbrier earlier this month, was not added to the list.
Not Bryson?
