The same holds for golf and every professional’s goal is to meet Tiger Woods, but only a few can achieve the dream; Rickie Fowler is among the lucky ones. The American professional spoke about the 15-time major championship winner in the latest episode of the Full Send Podcast with hosts Kyle Forgeard & Bob Menery. The episode was uploaded on the YouTube channel of the podcast on June 3rd, 2022. Moreover, Fowler spoke about how Woods played well at the 2022 PGA Championship. At the same time, he also talked about how he even managed to make the cut and play in a tough third round on Saturday at Southern Hills Country Club.

The 33-year-old professional threw some light on his relationship with Woods moving forward in the podcast. He talked about how he is close to him but not as close to the World Golf Hall of Fame member as his fellow professional, Justin Thomas. At the same time, he spoke about how cool it is to see the 46-year-old professional make comebacks and play with him for all of these years. Tiger Woods’ fans will love to hear what Fowler had to say about the five-time Masters winner.

Rickie Fowler opens up on his relationship with Tiger Woods

Fowler said, “I mean, we’re close, not as close as like him and JT are. They spend more time together, but it’s been pretty cool though to see him come back this time, but also be a part of, you know, the last, you know, eight or so years, we’ve all kind of been able to spend a decent amount of time together.”

He added, “This isn’t as, it’s not his first comeback. It just shows you a lot of like, his, mental toughness and what he’s able to do. Up here. It’s I don’t know if there’s anyone that’s ever been close to, you know how good he is, mentally.” Rickie’s words prove the impact Woods has left on the sport in the last eight to 10 years. At the same time, it also depicts how all the PGA Tour professionals admire him and what Woods has done for golf.

What did Fowler shoot in the second round at the Memorial?

The famous golfer shot a rather mediocre round of two-over-par, 74 on Friday in his terms. He is currently at an overall score of level-par for the event and is eight shots back from the leader. Moreover, his second round of 74 included one bogey and eight pars on the opening nine holes. As a result, Rickie moved out in one-over-par, 37.
