John Daly is a man of many talents. Back in the day, Daly was a fierce golfer and was the first player on the PGA Tour to average more than 300 yards off the tee. Later, he would also go on to garner a great deal of love for his musical chops, particularly his many renditions of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door“!

John Daly takes up a new role

Over the decades, John Daly has accomplished quite a lot of unbelievable things. The outlandish golfer has won several times on the PGA Tour and has even nabbed two major titles! His golfing talents were such that even Jack Nicklaus couldn’t stop raving about them. “Good gracious, what a coil, what an unleashing of power,” the 18-time major winner once remarked about Daly’s backswing.
The 57-year-old has also ushered in great success with his part-time music career. A country music enthusiast, he has released a successful autobiographical album titled “My Life,” with guest performances from Willie Nelson and Johnny Lee. He has even worked with 5-time Grammy Award nominee Kid Rock! Recently, Daly added another feather to his cap by making an appearance in country music singer HARDY’s video for his latest song, Truck Bed.
The song is from HARDY’s recent album called “the mockingbird & THE CROW.” The music video also features cameos from actor King Bach and football star Taylor Lewan.

Daly’s appearance in HARDY’s rock anthem will no doubt greatly delight his fans, especially ahead of his much-anticipated return to the Open Championship.

John Daly has somewhat achieved a cult status in the world of golf. Be it his trademark Loudmouth golf trousers, his colorful antics, or his memorable golfing accomplishments, Daly has never once failed to bring joy to his plethora of fans. No wonder his latest knee-related predicament evoked so much anxiety and stress in the golf community.

The 5-time PGAT winner, however, seems to have recovered and is a part of the 156-player field that will be descending upon the Royal Liverpool Club in Hoylake for the Open Championship. Daly had previously won the prestigious competition in 1995 by beating Constantino Rocca in a thrilling playoff.
The golfer’s last appearance had come at the Bridgestone Senior Players Championship, where he tied for the 53rd spot.
