Ask Scottie Scheffler what he’s cooking for this year’s Champions Dinner Menu, and he will share a couple of his 2023 picks and more. His 2023 menu included cheeseburger sliders served “Scottie-style,” firecracker shrimp, tortilla soup, Texas ribeye steak, and a warm chocolate chip skillet cookie with milk and ice cream for dessert. Scottie even said, “I’m wondering if I should just have the same exact menu. It was pretty good. It’s all my favorite foods.” So, will the 2025 menu be a complete repeat?
This year’s Champions Dinner menu will have cheeseburger sliders and firecracker shrimp with sweet Thai chili sauce and sriracha mayo. However, interestingly, Scottie Scheffler’s 2023 chicken tortilla soup will be replaced by Texas-style chili topped with Cheddar cheese and jalapeños. Similar to last year, for dessert, the two-time Masters winner will have a warm chocolate-chip skillet cookie with vanilla bean ice cream. And his special this year? Well, it’s the addition of Papa Scheff’s Meatball and Ravioli Bites.
However, excited he may be about the dinner, not everyone might share the same taste in terms of food. And it’s no one else but the LPGA star, Mel Reid. And her points may be valid. Sitting down for an interview with Kira Dixon, when asked if she saw Scottie Scheffler’s Dinner menu, her reply came with a slight old jab, “It’s nice. It’s American.” Ah, the age-old food war between the Americans and the British! Just like everyone else, Kira starts laughing.

Kira laid down the whole menu, “Appetizers, it’s cheeseburger sliders, served Scottie-style. Unclear as to what Scottie style is. Firecracker shrimp. Texas-style chili. Look, I have a real moral dilemma when it comes to chili after March. So, I am not quite sure about that.” Reid joined in the conversation and said, “Not a fan. I am with you, Kira. Kira. I am with you, girl.”

Well, we at least have an explanation for “Scottie-style” from Scottie Scheffler himself. And it’s all to do with his “unique way of eating” cheeseburgers. “I always put the fries on my burger, and that’s what ‘Scottie style’ is. It’s fries on the patty. It’s usually thin patties.” And, there, the mystery is resolved.

But when it comes to the dessert choice, the two found common ground: warm chocolate chip skillet cookie and ice cream. Additionally, Mel Reid asked a really rhetorical question which left Kira and even the fans in laughter, “Ok, so, obviously, I am not American, you are. So, I’m going to ask you this question. Is it–like, to me, it sounded very American and very Texas.” Kira laughs and says that’s because Scheffler is from Texas! Scheffler’s menu also features a choice of wood-fired cowboy rib-eye or blackened redfish. In addition to that, he will have soy-glazed Brussels sprouts and chipotle-lime roasted sweet potatoes.
But Reid seems to stand alone when it comes to Scottie Scheffler’s menu. Recently, Paige Spiranac shared her review of the menu. And, her response? “10/10.” Nothing else. Interestingly, Spiranac didn’t have this opinion ahead of the 2023 Champions Dinner. Then, the former golfer said, “I think that his champions dinner next year is going to be boring.” Thankfully, Scheffler seems to have won her heart this year! While we have yet to have someone else join Mel Reid’s side on this case, the Master’s dinner is not unfamiliar to a Texas-inspired menu. And, no, it did not come from Scottie Scheffler.
