Fans hold immense power in their hands to make or break any celebrity or sportsperson. And if they get displeased, then the celebrity is sure to face their wrath.
A similar case happened with a PGA Tour Pro who tasted the wrath of internet trolling after he shared with fans a new rule about autographs from his ongoing PGA tournament.

This week Australian golfer Greg Chalmers is participating at the John Deere Classic Tournament which is being held at the TPC Deere Run golf course. And at the event, there surfaced a new rule that is definitely a big disappointment for all fans. Imposing a new rule regarding autographs, the event issued a notice that said – ‘Autographs are only allowed in designated autographs zones. No autographs on course.‘ A picture of this notice was further shared by Greg on his Twitter account with a sarcastic caption on his end.
Posting the picture Greg wrote – “Absolute blessing this rule is in place… groupies everywhere here.”

But his comment backfired as netizens trolled him mercilessly. Even his previous achievements coudn’t aid him in the moment.
The Sydney-born golfer has played on the PGA Tour of Australasia and the PGA Tour. He has won twice at the Australian Open and five times on the PGA Tour of Australasia. His first American PGA Tour victory came at the 2016 Barracuda Championship.
But it seems like these accolades aren’t enough to impress the netizens who did not take kindly to Greg’s spicy comment about the new rule.

After Chalmers shared the tweet, fans were quick to roast him mercilessly on Twitter.

This no autographs rule on the course is a disappointment for fans who love to interact with their favorite player on the ground. But it is the fans who make the status of any celebrity.
