With the Masters Tournament coming up next month, fans are extremely excited to watch their favorite players on the field. And ever since Augusta National announced that it will be allowing LIV Golf players to play at the tournament, things went up to another level! Among these qualifying LIV Golf rebels, Sergio Garcia stands as one of the most talented players on the field. However, despite all the ongoing controversies, the golfer claimed to be unaffected by the LIV Golf vs PGA Tour banter ahead of the Masters. But surprisingly, golf fans had all kinds of mixed reactions to his statements.
Sergio Garcia steers clear of the LIV Golf vs PGA Tour controversy
Garcia, 43, made a strong decision when he joined LIV Golf leaving behind his entire PGA Tour and European Tour legacies. And following his controversial switch, the golfer received heavy criticism from golf fans around the world. However, despite the never-ending war of words among the tours, Garcia claimed to have no regrets about his LIV Golf decision. Not even the fact that he won’t be able to appear in the Ryder Cup moving forward. “I’ve definitely made the right decision…I don’t want to be a burden to anyone and even less in a Ryder Cup,” he said.

Calling it “the future of golf”, Garcia made his support for the Saudi League clear in front of the fans. He was also in the headlines for his statements ahead of the Champions Dinner. “I don’t have any problems with anyone, and I try not to make a big deal out of it.” the 2017 Masters winner said.
After receiving his invite to the upcoming mega-tournament, the golfer was asked if he was worried about his interaction with the PGA Tour players at the Masters. And his response was pretty similar to how he had been dealing with the situation till now. “There are too many things to take care of to start worrying about PGA Tour against LIV players,” he said. “Augusta is challenging enough without thinking about little things like that”. Although the golfer displayed a carefree approach to the entire situation, fans had something else on their minds!
