Nelly Korda, the LPGA cover girl, took a break from the greens after Team America’s defeat at the 2023 Solheim Cup. She cut her ties with the golfing world for a span of three weeks. Fans spotted her doing volunteer work during her break.
Korda missed a number of events after the Solheim Cup this season. The player did not participate in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, the Ascendant LPGA Benefiting Volunteers of America, and the Buick LPGA Shanghai. However, news about her participation in the BMW Ladies Championship had the golf world thrilled. Now, as the results are finally out, fans are disappointed as it seems that neither the hiatus nor her prior putting training has helped her much.

Nelly Korda falls short at the 2023 BMW Ladies Championship
At this year’s LPGA BMW Ladies Championship, Nelly Korda did not score a title, but not just that the American golfer wasn’t even able to take a spot in the top 10 players of the tourney.
Korda ended her gameplay with a T16th spot on the leaderboard. The 25-year-old shot a three-under-par 69 in the final round and scored a total of 279 at the end of all her rounds, which was 7 strokes less than what two play-off participants achieved.
Her performance has not been encouraging. The best POS she has had in the last five months or so on the LPGA has been her T9 at The Amundi Evian Championship where she turned in a bogey-free, 7-under 64 in Moving Round.

Minjee Lee’s performance at the Seowon Valley Country Club was fierce. The player made sure to use all her strategies well and ended up winning her 10th LPGA title. On the greens, in her final round, she played a strong four-under-par 68 and landed herself in the playoff with Alison Lee. Minjee also made a comeback with a birdie on the tenth after a bogey on the ninth.
Alison Lee finished the tourney at the second spot, earning a total of $202,680. The player gave Minjee a tough run for her money as she shot a five-under-par 67 in the final round. What kept her from the win was her late bogey on the 16th hole.
