Sunshine Tour tweeted, “The Sunshine Tour mourns the passing of our first commissioner, Brian Henning. Brian passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning next to his loved ones and leaves behind an ever-lasting legacy for his work done to develop the Sunshine Tour into the global golf tour it is today. Bruno as Henning was affectionately known organised a tournament for professional golfers, the Cape Classic at the end of 1969 and beginning of 1970 which he regarded as the first tournament of the professional Tour, which will be named the Sunshine Circuit and undergo various name changes until settling on the Sunshine Tour in 2000.”
