When Scottie Scheffler won the Players Championship recently, he stunned the entire golf world. But despite his triumph at the $25 million flagship event, a retired NHL player, Ryan Whitney called him ‘boring’ after praising the golfer. According to him, the pro is a machine, an incredible player but not fun. But the latest video by Golf Digest tells another story and the fans have reacted to it. Do they still think he is boring?
Scottie Scheffler comes out of his boring image
Scottie Scheffler recently won THE PLAYERS Championship and will compete for the coveted green jacket at the 2023 Augusta Masters. But before that, he took part in a Golf Digest challenge. Scheffler can be seen in the video responding to The Office Quiz, which Golf Digest posted on their official Instagram account. What is the finest type of beer was the first question. He then responded, “All I know is Bears, Beats, Battlestar Galactica. Well, actually, there’s a few different schools of thought on that.”

The Augusta National Golf Club is renowned for its breathtakingly beautiful but difficult course, which requires players to play with accuracy and ability. Players come early to practice their swings and understand the subtleties of the greens. Scheffler, however, has more in mind for this trip than just practicing.
World no.1 plans to enjoy a stay at Augusta, and to enjoy the small stuff, having dinner there before he gets into the game mode. He said, “I’m kind of looking forward to staying on property, having dinner, just the little stuff that goes with being there.” Because once the tournament hits the ground, his only focus will be defending his title.
