The aforementioned incident occurred on the first day of the Genesis Open, where a returning Woods looked in great touch. The 47-year-old made a birdie on his very first hole and looked to be heading straight toward the title.

In one of the holes, he even outdrove World No. 9, Justin Thomas. Being close friends, Woods amusingly handed Thomas a small packet, on the course, which later turned out to be a Tampax packet.

The misleading idea that Thomas played like a ‘girl’ spread like fire, which caused huge insurgencies, including from a women’s empowerment group. Woods later apologized for his actions, saying it was only meant to be a joke.
