The golf world has erupted following the ruling proposed jointly by the USGA and the R&A. Calling for a ball rollback through re-shaping the golf ball, fans have criticized the move and claimed it to be redundant in the game’s progress. Several players have made their feelings known about the matter, including Keegan Bradley, who compared the new rules with a humorous twist.

Keegan Bradley shares his honest opinion on the rollback ruling

The 36-year-old appeared in a recent episode of the ‘SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio,’ where he was asked about his thoughts on the latest ruling. Bradley didn’t mince words, stating clearly that he wasn’t a big fan of the ruling.

“I don’t see a world where the PGA Tour would go for this,” the golfer fearlessly said. His words conveyed the feeling around the world, where fans have clamored against the ruling.

The change has been backed jointly by the USGA and the R&A, with both sides proposing a re-designed ball that will alter certain mechanics. It involves a change in the speed of the ball, which results in a loss of driving distance by 20 yards or more.

Furthermore, Bradley even had a humorous take on the ruling. The 2011 PGA Championship winner compared playing with the re-shaped golf ball to playing with NFL legend Tom Brady, but with a twist.

“I can’t go play football with Tom Brady with pads on … I’ll get killed,” he amusingly said.

Breaking news regarding Keegan Bradley

The five-time PGA Tour winner was set to contest at the Valspar Championship this weekend but has made immediately withdrawn from the tournament. The reasons remain unknown, with the PGA Tour communications staying away from divulging any explanation.

However, it has been a disappointing season for Bradley so far. The 36-year-old made waves after winning on his major debut at the 2011 PGA Championship. At that time, he became only the sixth player in golf history to win on his major championship debut.
