Buffalo Bills safety, Damar Hamlin, collapsed on the field during the game with Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night. Soon after, the 24-year-old, who is currently in critical condition, got CPR and then was taken to the local hospital. Since then, many have been using social media to show support for the team and send prayers for him. And the golf influencer, Paige Spiranac, was one of them.
According to ESPN, Hamlin tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins in an attempt to stop him and got back on his feet quickly. However, the medical team had to rush to the ground as he collapsed the next second. Despite them giving him CPR, he had to be taken to the local hospital to get proper care as his condition was critical.
His teammates were spotted looking distressed after the incident. In fact, many NFL athletes expressed their solidarity for Hamlin through social media as soon as the incident occurred. A lot of fans and entities from other sports also came to express their concerns for the Buffalo Bills‘ safety.

“Praying for Damar Hamlin. Call the game,” she tweeted.
Fans support the former professional golfer’s thoughts on game officials’ decision
If not for the coaches’ interference, the game would have resumed five minutes after Hamlin’s departure to the hospital. And it made the fans mad over the officials, similar to Spiranac.
We’re on the same page, the game is secondary to how Damar is doing.

5 mins to gather themselves and play… good on the coaches for saying no

Agreed. This man’s health is so much bigger than any game and you can’t expect those players, coaches, or officials to be able to gather themselves after seeing something like that.

Agree 100% Paige. Call the game Prayers for Damar Hamlin his family and teammates.

Bad look for the NFL taking that long to officially suspend the game. They could have made the decision earlier and then figure out what to do next later.

Spiranac wanted to ‘Call the game’ as soon as the incident happened. And many supported her viewpoint. However, some NFL fans, who were obviously concerned for Hamlin and the team’s welfare, didn’t think calling off the game would be the appropriate decision.
It’s up to the players, coaches and staff. I won’t criticize if they play or not.
