I have never seen a bad player do it……maybe…..it's the key? 😂

One fan commented that maybe keeping yardage books like this is just a “thing.”
I think it's a "thing." I was considering doing it but don't have a nickname to put on the cover.

Some fans commented about putting the big book in the bag and said that they will never “understand” the point of not keeping the book in the bag.
Stupid question, but you’re allowed to put it in your bag correct? Seen every pro on men’s & women’s side have it in their pocket.
— Jeff Cox (@cheffejeffe) May 5, 2023
Same. Why not put it in the bag? There’s gotta be enough room?

A fan commented how Rory McIlroy has a ton of things on him while playing, and how the fan “could never” do something like that.
I can’t do anything on me, like Rory wears a watch, a bracelet, ring, etc. I could never.

I only have tees in right front pocket and ball marker and divot tool in left front pocket. I don’t even like my wallet in my back pocket

It’s like carrying around an iPad. These books are huge. Lol
— David Clark (@titandave13) May 5, 2023
Other than the bags, a fan shared an alternate option to keep the book.
I never put it in my pocket. Caddy or cart holds it

Fans shared the plight of all the women’s clothing.
Our pockets aren’t built to be deep enough for them to go any further down 🤣
— Alice Hewson (@aliceeehewson) May 6, 2023
The issue is the depth of the pocket. Women’s clothing is generally deficient when it comes to pockets – it’s the bane of our lives!! 🤣⛳️

What is a yardage book?

A yardage book is a compact publication that showcases graphics, photos, or charts of every hole in a golf course.
The primary function of a yardage book is to furnish a golfer or caddie with the measurement, typically in yards or meters, from the ball’s current or anticipated position to the intended target. This assists the golfer in selecting the appropriate club to achieve the desired outcome.
The yardage books used in the PGA Tour not only provide distances between two points but also offer in-depth information on topographical characteristics, inclines, recommended putting paths, and measurements of important parts of each hole.
