After a successful revenge against the European, Nelly Korda is back on the LPGA Tour to clinch more individual titles. The 14-time LPGA Tour winner is competing at the Kroger Queen City Championship and is tied for fourth after the first round. While Korda continues her on-course endeavors, her nephew, Greyson John DelPrete, Jessica Korda’s child, is dealing with a seasonal ordeal.
From pregnancy to welcoming him into the world, Jessica Korda has shared many memorable moments with her fans through her Instagram account. This time, she shared what she and DelPrete have been going through. The 6-time LPGA Tour winner posted a story on Instagram, revealing that for the first time, DelPrete has caught a fever since he was born on February 3, 2024.
She wrote, “Took seven months but we’re down with his 1st fever/cold,” and to best portray her emotions, Korda added a bawling emoticon at the end of her sentence. What’s the consequence of catching a cold? It seems neither the mom nor the child is getting enough sleep, as she sarcastically added, “What’s sleep anyway.”

We hope that Greyson DelPrete and Korda recover soon and that Nelly Korda gets to visit her nephew when he is all healthy and spoil him as much as she wants. While Jessica Korda is busy with her motherhood duties, her professional career has been on pause for over a year. As she shares snippets of her life with Greyson, many wonder when she will return to the greens. So, when will that be?
Jessica Korda’s probably comeback timeline
Even before announcing her pregnancy, Jessica Korda had taken a hiatus due to her recurring back injury. The LPGA star had been struggling with a back injury since the 2022 Chevron Championship after falling down the stairs. In a podcast with the LPGA Tour, Korda revealed, “Currently rehabbing the back. Once I get most of my rotation back I’ll start hitting balls.” Although hopeful of returning to golf, the 6-time LPGA Tour winner was not yet ready for a professional comeback.

She further revealed that being present for Greyson DelPrete’s life was also a priority. As the LPGA Tour allows a maternity leave of around two years, Korda stated that she would probably return once that period ends. That means the 31-year-old pro may be back on the LPGA Tour in 2026.
Until then, her family and her health will remain her priority as she enjoys motherhood and shares her journey with her fans. However, that doesn’t mean Korda won’t be involved in LPGA Tour events. The LPGA Tour pro was the on-course reporter for ESPN at the 2023 CME Globe Tour Championship and may take another job in the future.
