Nelly Korda has managed to garner a lot of love from the golf community. Not just because of her spectacular on-course performances but also because of her humble nature. Be it thanking her family after winning at the Ford Championship, achieving new records, or appreciating her fellow players Hannah Green and Atthaya Thitikul for their gameplay at the Mizuho Americas Open, her interviews have always been a delight to watch.

The fourteen-time LPGA Tour winner is currently at the Lancaster Country Club for the second major of the season. As she was entering the course for the practice round, she met one of her biggest fans, who had been waiting to get her autograph for the past two years. And well, Nelly Korda, being as humble as ever, made her dream come true!

The U.S. Women’s Open shared the heartwarming interaction between the golfer and her fan on its official Instagram handle. The video focused on the little girl, who was busy fangirling over Nelly Korda.

Her little fan even saved the top right corner of her board for Korda’s signature and said, “I’m trying to save this corner for Nelly because I have been waiting literally since the KPMG in 2022 to get her autograph. And I want to make sure I have a nice space for her. Nelly Korda is my very favorite golfer.”

Cut to the next moment: the video showed Nelly Korda not only signing on to the place that was saved for her, but she also had an extra pair of gloves. She took them off, signed them, gave them to her, and also clicked a picture with her. Overwhelmed to meet her superstar, the little girl started crying as she hugged her father.

The post not only garnered the attention of the golf community but also Nelly Korda herself. The LPGA Tour pro even left a comment for her young fan and wrote, “It was so nice to meet you.” Once again, Nelly Korda’s act of kindness took over the Internet.

The LPGA Tour pros have created countless memories on and off the course. Be it Minjee Lee walking up to a baby in the crowd after lovingly lifting her in her arms after the first round of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship last year in June, or Lexi Thompson meeting and playing a scant amount of golf with a few ladies from the Special Olympics New Jersey organization, the moments have been magical to witness. According to one fan, “The rest of the sports world could learn a lot from the LPGA.”

For a few of the netizens, the young girl’s dreams coming true meant much more than just golf, as they commented, “As a girl dad I love to see this ❤️”. While one of them referred to the hug that the daughter gave out to her dad, on receiving the sign of Nelly Korda, simply commented, “This is so wholesome ❤️”.  There have also been several instances, like the one in the video, where fathers walked into the greens expecting to fulfill their daughters dreams of meeting their favorite golfers and left the course proud to be able to do so. Just like the time Atthaya Thitikul gave away her glove to one of her fans, who came to see her match with his daughter at the Drive-On Championship last year in March. Both the daughter and dad were on cloud nine.

Not to forget, Nelly Korda is an inspiration for many young kids. Korda has always tried to live by the teachings of her parents, Petr, and Regina Korda, to make the most of the situation as time passes quickly. The 25-year-old, once said, ‘I travel like a hobo, hood up, so I don’t get recognized. But occasionally I do, and then it’s cool, especially when it’s by young kids who say I’ve inspired them.’
