The 2024 season has been nothing but blissful for Nelly Korda. The 26-year-old not only broke records on the LPGA Tour but also did things outside of the game, which was uncomfortable at first but made Korda a different kind of athlete. Two of her off-the-course stints were walking the Met Gala red carpet and becoming a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model for their 2025 magazine cover.
It was a stunning project as the golf world loves to see Korda in a different light. And even the LPGA Tour expressed that she enjoyed trying something outside of her comfort zone. But was the paycheck more than what Korda might earn at the CME Group Tour Championship? Probably not. A few things to keep in mind is that although the 26-year-old is a trending golfer, it was her debut as a model. Secondly, Korda still has not reached the same level as someone like Tiger Woods.
So her contract with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit might not have crossed $1 million as the LPGA Tour earned around $6.5 million in 2023 from her endorsements and that included nine different brands, per Forbes. On the other hand, the winner’s paycheck offered is $4 million from the record-breaking $11 million up for the field. The CME Group Tour Championship is the only non-major event to have over $10 million in prize purse and offers more than what was given at all the majors except the US Women’s Open.

That’s why, Korda will probably earn more from winning the CME Group Tour Championship and adding that eighth victory to her 2024 resume. By doing so, Korda will be adding her name to the same list as Annika Sorenstam, Lorena Ochoa, Nancy Lopez, and others for winning eight events in a single season. If Korda earns the $4 million from the Tiburon Golf Club, what will be her 2024 on-course earnings?

Has Nelly Korda earned more than $10 million in 2024?
Nelly Korda’s 2024 season started at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where she finished T16 after having the 2023 season winless. The doubts followed Korda, would she even get a victory in the 2024 season? Just when the people would have criticized her, the 26-year-old started her incredible run of victories. From the LPGA Drive On Championship, which will not be on the LPGA Tour in 2025, to the Mizuho Americas Open, Korda won every single tournament except a T7 at the Cognizant Founders Cup.

She earned $2.943 million through eight events. However, Korda then missed three consecutive cuts at the US Women’s Open, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, and Meijer LPGA Classic, a first for her career. After losing her charm for a few events, she returned to the Amundi Evian Championship and carded T26 for $63,163. She teed up at the last major, the AIG Women’s Open, and finished T2 and T5 at the Kroger Queen City Championship.

Have an interesting take?
If anyone thought the 15-time LPGA Tour winner wouldn’t win again, Korda took home the $487,500 winner’s check from the Annika Driven by Gainbridge and added another check to her account. In total, Korda earned $4,164,430 after winning seven times on the LPGA Tour. If she successfully wins the CME Group Tour Championship, her 2024 on-course earnings will be $8.164 million and will be the record for most earned by a golfer in a single season of the LPGA Tour. Although it is not as much as how the PGA Tour earns, it is better than the $1.4 million she earned in 2023.
