When one talks about the history, especially of the golf course, its scenery automatically becomes a part of it. One of the iconic things about this historic course is its magnificent beauty, which might as well leave anyone awestruck. Something similar was experienced by World No. 2 after her practice round.
Per the golfer, the course is “amazing” and the view from each hole is “scenic“. She said, “I feel like you get to a hole and you’re like, This is my favorite view, and then you get to another hole and, No, this is actually my favorite view“. This line clearly defines how the experience of the practice round went for the golfer.
Additionally, she admitted that the golf course is a bit distracting. Looking at all the properties, Korda said that these are some of the biggest houses she has ever seen. Moreover, the golf star exclaimed how impressive the 18th hole is and how she could not help but be astonished by the par-3 hole 7 as well.
With the depth and stories that the venue of the third major of women’s golf flaunts right now, it is surprising to note that many elite female golfers will be taking on the greens professionally for the first time. In contrast to this, the men’s professional golfers visit this exceptional course every year and enjoy taming these games.
Pebble Beach is part of the progression that women’s golf is witnessing
Even though Nelly Korda was grateful to have the opportunity to play a major on this course, it is still a little disappointing that only now a women’s golf major will open on such an exuberant course. However, Korda acknowledged “the massive stride” women’s professional golf has been making.
She claimed that women’s golf had come a long way from where it had begun, and change was coming fast! From the “increase in purses” to the “venues” where they were getting to play, Korda was proud to be a part of the “rich history” that the LPGA was creating.
