Nelly Korda Once Famously Revealed Her Dream Foursome With 0 Female Golfers and 22 Majors

Nelly Korda has been considered the face of the LGPA Tour for the past few years. She has achieved quite a lot at such a young age. Korda has been associated with some of the biggest names in the sport of golf. However, when the question of her dream foursome was put forward, who did Nelly Korda have in mind?

In the recent years, the growth of the fan following in the LGPA Tour has been immense. Nelly Korda has played a key role in its success along with Lydia Ko, Atthaya Thitikul, and Minjee Lee, to name a few.

The Korda sister first came to everyone’s attention after winning the Gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. However, long before her medals and Major win, a teen Korda shared her dream foursome in golf.

Who are in the dream foursome of Nelly Korda?

In 2017, then-19-year-old Nelly was only taking part in her rookie year at the LGPA Tour. As she proceeded through the events, more and more people seem to realize the high caliber of the 2021 Women’s PGA Championship.

This landed her the opportunity to feature in the Kia Clubhouse ride, where Korda drove the 2017 Kia Cadenza around the clubhouse with an interviewer in the passenger seat. The interviewer asked Korda several humorous questions. However, she then asked her who will be in her dream foursome.

The then 19-year-old rookie replied, “Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth, and Rory McIlroy”. In golf terms, Foursomes refer to a pair of golfers forming a team and playing a single ball between them. Nonetheless, Korda didn’t disclose who out of the three would she prefer as her teammate.

However, considering it’s her dream foursome,  it is quite apparent that Korda has great respect for all these stars. As her career evolved, she got the opportunity to interact or meet with all these stars during different instances. Spieth appreciated Korda after her big win at Tokyo Olympics. She could not contain her happiness when she met the 15-time Major winner, Tiger Woods, at the 2021 PNC Championship.

Nonetheless, Nelly has yet to meet Rory McIlroy publicly. Many stars now consider her as a dream foursome. Still only 24 years of age, Korda has a lot more to offer to the sport of golf, despite already achieving so much already.
