Sunday poises to be an exciting one for the LPGA Fans out there. The last round of the 2025 Founders Cup awaits at the Bradenton Country Club. After a remarkable three days of golf, 23-year-old Yealimi Noh has raced to a 1-stroke lead over Jin Young Ko.

Noh was at 10 under par after Round 2 but scored 8 birdies in the last 11 holes on Day 3 to secure the sole lead at the tournament. “Just the first few holes they were slow and I was hitting it well but not making many putts,” Noh said after her ok start to day 3. “I guess I just needed a birdie and that one at eight just helped me get going.” The American golfer who is yet to win an event on the LPGA Tour let loose after the birdie at the 8 hole – setting the pace for the group that is chasing.

Amongst the chasing group, is local girl and one of the tournament favorites Nelly Korda. 26-year-old Korda, who is after her 16 LPGA Tour victory, also recovered after average performances on Day 1 and Day 2. One of the fan favorites, she shot a brilliant 6 under par and headed into the final round six strokes behind Noh and tied with Hannah Green for fifth place on the leaderboard.

But fans of the two-time major winner will be slightly miffed as the golfer is seemingly not too worried about the challenge of Day 4. In an Instagram story, Korda appears to be more attentive towards her appearance. The time spent golfing in the sun had caused her hands to turn a shade darker and in the story, Korda shared a photo of her two hands side by side with a clear tan line seen at her wrist.

The caption read, “Now this tan line is just DOPE”.

Her story is likely to be her way of relaxing before the crucial last round, but with a $2 million purse at stake, Korda cannot afford any slip-ups. A huge six-stroke lead for Noh means that Nelly Korda needs to be prepped and ready to take on the challenge on Day 4. And it is highly possible for her especially, considering how she began her Round 3 at Florida.

Big challenge ahead for Nelly Korda at the Founders Cup

Can Nelly Korda overcome her tan line distraction and make a stunning comeback at her home course?

Nelly started Day 3 at her home course with six shots of the lead. However, contrary to Noh, Nelly started the round well, registering 6 birdies in the first 12 holes, inheriting the solo lead at one point during the day. However, two consecutive bogeys at hole No.15 and No.16, pushed her back lower in the standings.

“It’s great. Having the crowd out here behind you makes it even better,” Korda recalled her topsy-turvy Day 3. “Won’t complain. Wish I got two of those holes back. One really silly mistake three-putting, but that’s golf. It’s going to give you some. It’s going to take some. You just got to battle.”

Korda will need a remarkable performance on Day 4 but she is known to be a marauding presence even under pressure. If she can recreate her opening show on Day 3 and retain the consistency in the second half, Noh will have her task cut out. Especially considering that the Bradenton Country Club is Korda’s home course. For that, Korda needs to be completely focused on the task at hand and not worry about other small things.
