Every year, Americans celebrate Halloween on October 31 by dressing up themselves and their children in costumes. LPGA Tour star, Nelly Korda, considered herself the happiest person on Halloween this year. And she had a reason to believe so! 

Finley, an 11-year-old US Junior golfer, dressed up as the LPGA star for this year’s Halloween and posted the photo on her Instagram. She wrote a heartwarming caption to thank her role model, about how she inspired her to play golf along with her and Korda‘s picture and a video of the young golfer playing in a golf simulator room.

The junior golfer also shared the same through Instagram Stories and tagged the pro-golfer and Stonehenge Golf. The latter also shared the same by tagging Korda in their stories to let her know how the junior golfer turned herself into the world’s no. 4 woman golfer on Halloween. 

Nelly Korda became emotional after seeing the junior golfer

“Stop it! 🥹😍,” Nelly Korda wrote as she shared the post on her Instagram story. Even though her response was short and sweet, it was evident from her post that she felt proud and emotional at the same time.

It might be true that 2022 has not been a good year for Korda. In fact, she even took a 6-week long break from professional golf this year. However, that doesn’t mellow down her legacy.

Among the 14 tournaments the 24-year-old played this year, she secured a position in the top 10 seven times, including a victory at the Aramco Team Series Sotogrande. Furthermore, she maintained a place in the top 4 in Rolex World Rankings throughout the year.

Forbes estimated that Korda’s net worth in 2022 is $5.9 million. Notably, she ranks 9 in the Forbes List of Highest-Paid Female Athletes in the world in 2022.

Since winning one major championship and an Olympic gold medal in 2021, her value has increased, and more than 10 companies are endorsing the athlete. According to reports, the young American golfer earned $2.4 million from career earnings and $3.5 million from product endorsements.

Nelly Korda is only 24 years old and has already achieved a lot that not many achieve at such a young age. Therefore, it is only a matter of time before more young players start considering her as their role model and even dress like her by next Halloween.
