The PNC Championship may have crowned the Langers, but the real show was the Woods. Bernhard Langer and his son snagged the trophy, just edging out Team Woods. But let’s be honest, all eyes were on Tiger Woods and his son Charlie. With Woods barely making appearances this season, the buzz around him teeing it up was next-level. Naturally, the cameras couldn’t get enough of him, and the media ran with it. But here’s the thing—this wasn’t a one-man show.

The tournament had 20 star-studded teams, including World No. 1 Nelly Korda and her dad, Petr. You could have blinked and missed Korda, with all the focus on the Woods duo. Fans watching at home were quick to notice that Korda barely got any coverage. The frustration spilled onto social media, with people calling out the lopsided attention on Team Woods.

Now, there’s no denying that Woods and Charlie draw a huge crowd. Woods’ name alone brings in viewers, and after such a quiet season, fans were hungry for any glimpse of him. But that didn’t mean other major players like Korda should have been sidelined. The PNC Championship is about showcasing all the talent. Still, it felt like the cameras were glued to the Woods family while other big names barely got a second. The lack of coverage left fans wondering whether media priorities were skewed.

As for Korda? She didn’t seem fazed. She posted a bunch of photos from the event on Instagram, writing, “Always a fun time finishing out the golf year playing the @pncchampionship!! So many amazing memories created at this event ☺️ thank you for having us back!” Fans flooded her comments with love, but some couldn’t help pointing out their disappointment over the lack of TV time for her and Petr.

Fans react to Korda’s screentime during the PNC Championship

Fans weren’t exactly thrilled with how little TV time Korda and her dad, Petr, got during the PNC Championship—and they didn’t hold back. One fan commented, “Love watching the PNC. You played great. Just wish they showed more of your playing and a little less of Tiger/Charlie who they cover even when they’re standing around.”

Another echoed the sentiment, saying, “I sure was disappointed with the TV coverage of Nelly. You’d think that Tiger and his son were the only ones playing in the tournament. It’s just ridiculous.” Yet another fan added, “I wish I would have seen more of you this weekend.”

Well, Golf Channel and NBC were responsible for the TV coverage of the event, and it seems like they failed the fans’ expectations. “No tv coverage tho! 😞,” wrote another disappointed fan. And honestly, you can’t blame them—when the World No. 1 shows up, people expect to see her in action.

That said, the few who did catch Korda and Petr on-screen couldn’t stop talking about it. “Lovely team and a superb family performance. Above all the main “task” of an event like PNC. For us, golf fans and Nk fans, a superb event. Thank You #nellykorda Superb Lady Golfer. Best wishes for 2025,” wrote one fan. Another kept it short and sweet:  “Always so fun to watch you play!!! 🙌”

Even with the limited spotlight, Team Korda made the most of their weekend. They tied for eighth after a solid second-round 61 in the scramble format. Reflecting on the experience, Petr couldn’t help but gush about his daughter. “I mean, it’s just the way—how much you improve year by year and the way she is approaching the game, and also how much she is appreciated by the men, these competitors. That was phenomenal.”

Sure, they finished eight strokes behind the leaders, but Korda and her dad clearly left an impression. Let’s hope next year the cameras give them—and the rest of the field—a bit more love.
