The LPGA cover girl and her on-course companion had been nothing short of amazing on the Friday foursomes. The younger Korda sibling was paired up once more with the ever-talented Allisen Corpuz on the Saturday foursome session. The gifted duo did not disappoint again when they got pitted against their European counterparts, Georgia Hall and Celine Boutier. The decision to pair the two by Lewis, on both days, proved to be the best move by the American skipper.

The twosome came out guns-a-blazing again as the two golfers went 5-up after the 13th at the time of writing. The three birdies in the eleven holes, coupled with 3 bogeys from their European opponents propelled them to a huge lead in the second day’s foursome session. However, the rest of the American team has had somewhat of a rocky day as opposed to the exceptional performance they put up in the first session on Friday.

Lilia Vu and Jennifer Kupcho, along with the pair of Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang, have been having a rough session with the scores oscillating between a tie and a lead. The former is currently following their rivals, Emily Pedersen and Carlota Ciganda, at 1 down after the 15th hole while the latter duo is 1-up through the 13th against Leona Maguire and Anna Nordqvist. Meanwhile, Danielle Kang and Andrea Lee are currently tied through the 12th hole against Maja Stark and Linn Grant.

While the rest of the group has been having a bumpy ride, the Korda-Corpuz has been having a field day with their clubs. And, such a performance can be warranted due to their good chemistry on the course, an effect of the compliments that the 8X LPGA Tour winner had dished out to her partner after Friday’s match.

Although the choice to pair the two of them up was a controversial one, it turned out to be the right one, nevertheless, with the Lewis-led team destroying their European counterparts in the first session. While the second day seems the same for the Korda-Corpuz duo, the rest of the teammates might have to put in a whole lot of effort to maintain the lead they achieved on Friday.
