Nelly Korda had been on a winning streak earlier this year. She started with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, finishing at T16, and then went on to bag the first position back-to-back five times in a row. From the LPGA Drive On Championship in January, she continued the sway until the Women’s Major in April. However, her streak was broken by Rose Zhang at the Cognizant Founders Cup earlier this month. The 13-time PGA Tour winner ended at T7 with a total score of -7 under 281.

Nonetheless, the LPGA Cover girl has received much appreciation for her on-course achievements and she has also been able to win the hearts of many through her positive attitude on and off the course. After the conclusion of the second round of Mizuho Americas Open, Korda’s kind words towards her fellow competitor have once again highlighted her kind nature.

Nelly Korda has also made quite a jump on the leaderboard from T17 to T3 in the second round. She had only carded two bogeys, one in each round at the Mizuho Americas Open. You also played well 😍❤️”One of them, to cheer her up, wrote two lines of poetry, giving her hope for better rounds at the penultimate and the ultimate rounds.
