The PGA Tour’s AT&T Byron Nelson event started in Texas at TPC Craig Ranch on 11th May. Many big names such as Scottie Scheffler, Jason Day, and Hideki Matsuyama are playing. But the golfer who is emerging as a fan favorite is England’s, Tyrrell Hatton. The golfer is known for his raw chatter and slightly hard self-criticism on the golf course.

This time was no different. The golfer had played a stunning game and yet in the post-match show, he was hard on himself.

Engaging in honest assessment, Hatton was all smiling and seemed self-aware. A glimpse of his interview was posted by the PGA Tour on its Instagram handle, and the caption said, @tyrrellhatton shot 65 on Saturday @attbyronnelson.”

Hatton is quite known for his brutal honesty. On Saturday, the English golfer was not happy with the way he played at times. The golfer had a bogey-free round while shooting 65 and while breaking down his game, he felt that his game was not as clean as it looked.

When the host questioned him about whether self-deprecation is just a part of his armor on the course, the English golfer sighed and somewhat agreed. Thinking about his game on Saturday, he said, “I mean in my head, I thought I was absolutely awful at times today.”

While concluding his interview, he agreed to the fact that maybe he needs to be less harsh. “Maybe I need to be a little bit less harsh on myself but there we go!”

Just recently as well, Hatton had a moment on the course where he was not happy with his shot and he flipped off on the course. The guy has just always been hard on himself on the course

Despite engaging in self-criticism, the golfer had quite the round on Saturday.
