Max Homa reacts to recent NBA controversy involving Nikola Jokic
Max Homa has been one of the most talented players on the PGA Tour. Although the six-time winner has been the subject of several rumors of joining the Saudi League, he has managed to prove his loyalty to the tour every single time. Notably, the golfer is back in the headlines again, but it has nothing to do with LIV Golf. In fact, it is not even related to golf!

Apart from being a professional golfer, Homa is also an enthusiastic sports fan, especially of the NBA. And for those who don’t know, the basketball world is currently in a huge online scuffle due to a recent on-court rumpus between five-time All-Star Nikola Jokic and Suns owner Mat Ishbia. The live broadcast of the game clearly showed the confrontation between the two, where Jokic can be seen allegedly shoving Ishbia, resulting in him falling back on his chair. However, when asked about the situation, Jokic said, “The fan put the hand on me first…He’s a fan, he’s supposed to get kicked out if he’s influencing the game.” Eventually, the incident resulted in Jokic receiving a technical foul.
The sports world has all kinds of reactions to the squabble on the internet. While some are sympathizing with Mat Ishbia, others are standing by Jokic after analyzing the entire situation. And adding to these reactions on social media, here’s what Max Homa had to say: “Would be nice to see the NBA finally take a stand against flopping and kick that fan out”.

Not to forget that Jokic highlighted that before being the Suns’ owner, Ishbia was a fan first. And Homa’s tweet clearly showcases his support for the player and his stance about kicking out the “fan”! It was only recently that the golfer made another claim that brought him to the headlines.
As per Brentley Romine’s tweet, Homa said, “I’m not so sure I love golf anymore, but I love competing and getting better so much, so golf provides the platform for that.” But surprisingly, fans seemed to look at the positive side of his statement. In fact, they ended up calling him “brutally honest” over his unfiltered words.
Well, it seems like when it comes to other sports, he’s brutally honest too!

As per crew chief Tony Brothers, “Jokic came to get the ball, grabbed it away from the fan, then after that, he deliberately gave him a shove and pushed him down.” His statements point to him believing that the Denver star being receiving a technical foul was justified. But many fans are not considering that the right decision.
However, Ishbia wasn’t required to answer anyone about the entire incident, despite his direct involvement. And there are currently no updates about any further consequences in the matter.
