Tiger Woods compared himself with Michael Jordan
Woods was only 14 years old when he had an interview with TransWorld Sport in 1990. It was during the conversation when he said, “I might be sort of like a Michael Jordan in basketball, something like that.” It was not even Michael Jordan’s prime era yet, but Woods’ confidence has definitely helped him reach heights in his career as a golfer.

Today, Woods is also a friend of Michael Jordan. The two have known each other for over a decade now. They used to hang out together at social gatherings and also met at golf events. When asked how their friendship began, Woods said that his Nike deal made things easy for him.
Woods also mentioned that Jordan has helped him in dealing with various things that the NBA legend had already faced in his past. “Like dealing with visibility, loss of privacy, articles, just people in general, and Mike helped me out because Mike has already been there.” Tiger Woods also used to play golf with Michael Jordan, and the two were often accompanied by Charles Barkley.

Michael Jordan once gave life-changing advice to Woods
Woods has had a lot of rough patches in his life. During one such patch, Woods’ good friend Michael Jordan gave him some really useful advice. “He has … no companion,” said Jordan.“He has to find that happiness within his life, that’s the thing that worries me. I don’t know if he can find that type of happiness. He’s gonna have to trust somebody.”

However, it has now been some time since the two were seen together. Sources that are close to Woods and Jordan have also not reported any conversations between the two. But their support for each other has never faded, and Woods should know that his “big brother” always has his back.
