Stephen Curry’s passion for golf is well-known by both NBA and Golf fans worldwide. Ahead of the Sunday match against the Houston Rockets, the Golden State Warriors star was caught nerding about his golf arsenal with a very unlikely person.

The two-time NBA MVP spoke about the clubs he uses on the greens. Given his passion for golf, it was not surprising. What indeed was surprising was the fact that a known Tiger Woods fan, Curry, appeared to ditch his favorite star’s partner in favor of a rival brand.

Stephen Curry found a golf aficionado in the most unlikely places ahead of the GSW game against the Houston Rockets. Before the match started, Curry was seen talking with his referee about golf. The funniest thing is the conversion was initiated by the referee himself.

Curry despite being a Tiger Woods fan picked a different club other than the one 15x Major Winner uses. Woods has a long-time partnership with TalylorMade and is a brand ambassador of TaylorMade Golf whose revenue stands at $1.1B. Even, his son Charlie Woods has been seen sporting TaylorMade golf clubs. However, Stephen Curry prefers Callaway Golf, another giant equipment brand, worth $3.8B as of 2022.

“What kind of golf driver do you use?” The referee was seen asking the legendary NBA player. That certainly caught the sharpshooter off-guard. Taking a moment to recollect, the GSW point guard was quick to respond, “I got the Callaway Paradym.” Take a look at the clip for yourself.

This was not the first time the 9x NBA All Star has talked about Golf. In fact, for Curry golf is more than just a leisurely activity. He has earned accolades in the golf world as well.
