Injuries and other personal problems did cause a slight downward slide to Tiger Woods and his career since 2014. He could not win a tournament title and started losing his dominance in the sport ever since. As the greatest golfer of all time, this would have made him depressed.
However, that didn’t make him stop from having fun and sharing fun moments with his friends, especially with Michael Jordan, whom he considered as his big brother.

“Thank you and your beautiful wife for coming,” Woods wrote as a text to MJ a day after they met at his restaurant, The Woods, in Jupiter. “Need to do that more often. Thank the good lord for ice packs,” the text further read. “I’m in heaven now. Bring babies next time.”
According to the legendary NBA player, the two hung out with a group at the golfer’s restaurant in Jupiter while he was taking time away from golf. As his closest friend, MJ was concerned about Woods’ career as a pro-golfer. But, he explained that Woods seemed like he didn’t worry about the same when he was drinking with the group.
Jordan’s reaction to Woods’ drunk text
The Chicago Bulls‘ former star player even shared the message Woods sent him the day after their gathering to ESPN as part of an interview. In fact, he even shared how he replied to the golfer who considers him his big brother.

“Haha. Any time my brother,” MJ replied. “Get some rest. We’ll bring the kids next time.” The NBA star’s reply shows how much he was fond of Woods and how close they were to agreeing to bring kids to their gathering.

Jordan has five children; Jasmine, Jeffrey, Marcus, and twins Victoria and Ysabel. While the first three are in their late 20s and early 30s, the twins are eight years old in 2022.
Why does Tiger Woods call Michael Jordan ‘big brother?’
Tiger Woods explained his relationship with Michael Jordan when he appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show. According to him, MJ, whom he became close with because of their association with Nike, helped him deal with the issues he had to face because of his popularity.

He explained that as an athlete, MJ could help him deal with all his issues more than any other celebrity. “Mike is almost like a big brother to me,” he said on the talk show.
