The draw is the serenity of gameplay and a platform to socialize amid competition without creating rivals. So, it is no surprise that golf is branching out from accommodating professional golfers to hosting tie-up events with entertainers.

Country Singer calls out to fellow entertainer for a round

Luke Combs is a popular name in the entertainment industry. The Huntersville resident moved to Pop fame Miley Cyrus’s birthland Nashville, Tennessee where her father and country singer Billy Cyrus reigned for years. Combs released his debut and went on to win several CMA awards, a couple of iHeart Radio Music Awards, and even Grammy nominations.

As one of the beloved country musicians of his time, the ‘Forever After All’ singer was all set to perform in Boston at the Gillette Stadium this weekend. While his team set up for a sound check, the American singer and songwriter decided to take a few shots on a golf mat with his club. On stage. After a short swing, he walked up to the camera and called out to DJ Khaled saying, “DJ Khaled, let’s go golfing.”

The country singer’s open message was in light of a charity event that saw many big names from diverse industries showing up to the event hosted by the popular record producer, DJ, and Rapper.

DJ Khaled’s incredible charitable benefit

The rap artist hosted the Golf Classic for We The Best Foundation where several entertainers and sports personalities including tennis legend Serena Williams, American rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, American Footballer Odell Beckham Jr., and many others made an appearance. The charity event also witnessed a few American pro golfers teaming up with entertainers to show their support.

At the event hosted by the former radio personality, there were also several contributions by popular sports names such as NBA Stars Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry, football legend Tom Brady, and others.

The American rapper was teamed with fellow American entertainer Terius Nash and two professional golfers; LIV Golfer Bubba Watson and PGA Tour pro Michael Block. Their team emerged victorious with Block having a dream round, which started during practice. DJ Khaled was so excited to play alongside the sports personalities with such innate talent that he jumped into the PGA Pro’s arms.

Although the ‘We The Best’ Foundation’s Golf Classic was meant to boost charitable donations, it inspired several golf enthusiasts from various industries to pick up their clubs and partake in the competition.
