However, Lucky Cruz, the champion of the 14-15 Boys’ division of the NB3 National Championship, had to withdraw in the final round leaving the rest 12 amateurs to battle it out for glory. The 26 young athletes’ journey, however, will not end as soon as the second round of the Curry Cup ends on September 4, Wednesday, for they will be able to participate in interactive workshops at the offices of KPMG during their KPMG Leadership Day. The professional services giants, also the sponsors for the Underrated Tour, will offer a set curriculum for the golfers featuring a “sports and business simulation exercise and covers developing strategies for a winning mindset and effective goal-setting.”
“We are really trying to make sure that these young student-athletes are well rounded,” said KPMG U.S. CEO Paul Knopp as he alluded to the programs, “And they have an opportunity both on and off the golf course.” Well, it appears the NBA star’s love for golf has pushed him to help many junior aspirants of the sport successfully for the third time since 2022!
