However, for Aberg to qualify for the Ryder Cup, he has to be in Donald’s picks — the captain can make a call on six picks. The final word on the selection of these players will come out on September 4. The tournament kicks off on September 29 and goes on till October 01.

Under Donald’s gaze, Aberg shot 65 and 67 in the first two rounds. In the first round on Thursday, he didn’t miss a single fairway. Moreover, his excellent driving technique allowed him to average 330.2 yards off the tee. “My driver’s been behaving quite well this week so far,” Aberg told Golf Channel.

In addition to this, the 23-year-old Swede ranks fourth in strokes gained around the green. His performance on Friday was also impressive. The young golfer has indeed caught many people’s attention.
