Woods persuaded Adam Scott

The tech based golf league has now added two big names to it. Yes, you guessed it right, it’s Scott and Morikawa.

TGL stands to gain a lot from the addition of these two golfers. Adam Scott and Collin Morikawa will bring a lot of excitement and talent to the tournament. 

During the Hero Tournament, Woods took a stand for the PGA Tour. He thinks if a player wants to compare themselves to the golf legends like Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus; they have to be on the PGA Tour. 

The GOAT’s efforts towards expressing his feelings on the divide in golf persuaded Scott to the TGL. He thinks that Woods remained very neutral during the course of his career. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, he said, “We never saw much ‘side-taking’ from Tiger during his career. That’s fair enough, he was a competitor, and he was interested in what he was doing.”

He believes that the switch by Woods to support the PGA Tour via creation of TGL is definitely going to shake things up. “Now, he’s showing his feelings on things. Creating something like TGL with Rory is just another example of how he is having an impact on the game. Certainly when Tiger goes in on something, it’s going to have an impact no matter what,” he added. 

Scott Woods is revolutionizing golf with his excellent marketing abilities. “Tiger pushed golf to a standard that was never seen before, and guys are continuing to push forward. Now, in the position that he’s in, for him to stand up and take a voice for the PGA Tour, I think that’s really strong.”

What is TGL?

The partnership of the PGA tour and TMRW sports gave birth to TGL, a tech infused golf league. TGL will feature a custom-built venue for conducting the matches.

The league will have 2 hour contests. Six teams of Three PGA Tour players will compete in the league in 15 scheduled Monday night matches. 

Will TGL add to the appeal of golf? We will have to wait and see.
