‘Most Rewarding Thing’: Greg Norman Marked His ‘Game-Changer’ Moment By Giving His Ex-wife An Opportunity Of A Lifetime

‘The shark’ is well-known for his exploits in the golf world. But there is a lot more to Greg Norman than just that. He is currently the CEO of LIV Golf and a savvy businessman. The golfer is also a proud father of two and a devoted family man. He once, eight years ago, even revealed the most rewarding feeling. Unsurprisingly, it related to his family.

Following his golf career, Norman made a huge name for himself with his business. His business empire now includes his whole family, each working to further its name. He lost his father late last year, which only cemented his belief in the significance of family.

Greg Norman feels blessed to work with his family

The shark sat down with the Sports Business Journal in 2015. There, he expressed his gratitude towards his wife and children. He praised his wife, Kirsten Kutner for her interior design skills and described his pride in her having started her own company. “My wife is a great interior designer and she’s started her own business and we tucked it under mine,” he said.

Kutner has been in the interior design industry for over two decades. The German-Filipino team has worked on several splendid projects, including the Palm Hotel House in Palm Beach and the HBA London. She is the founder of the Norman Design Group and aims to scale the Greg Norman brand in real estate.

Norman went on to explain that the vision he saw for his business was also for his family. “The 200-year plan is for my family,” he stated, talking about how he had plans for his company up to 200 years ahead. He believed that his family would certainly carry on the Norman legacy.

‘The shark’ feels rewarded for what he’s done for his family

The two-time major winner believed that providing others with an opportunity to do what they wanted was a very noble trait. He stated, “It really is a game-changer in life when you can give other people an opportunity to be successful in whatever realm they want.” Norman further went on to express his excitement about doing the same for his kids as well.

“I’m getting a great sense of satisfaction having my daughter and my son working for me now,” he said. He claimed there was nothing more rewarding than giving your children the opportunity “to go down a path that you have plowed before them.”
