John Daly is among the most famous and eccentric golfers today. The 56-year-old now plays on the senior circuit of the PGA Tour. Despite his age, he has been achieving huge milestones. Just a couple of months ago, he went viral when an impressive footage of him resurfaced online. And it seems like that footage not only inspired fans, but also made a mark on his son, John Daly II, a.k.a. ‘Little John,’ whose recent achievement has him walking in his father’s footsteps.

John Daly II’s incredible milestone

In August last year, Daly began trending when footage from three years ago reappeared online. The video was of Long John from 2020, when he played at the Bone Frog Open – a tournament played as a tribute to and for the benefit of fallen US Navy Seals. At the event, Daly was at the 11th par-3 hole when he went viral for what he did.

The golf pro swung at the ball with his usual strong and focused drive, wearing nothing on his feet! And seconds later, he celebrated as the ball went straight in the hole for his 11th hole-in-one. “That makes 11 of them motherf***ers,” he claimed proudly, straight into the camera. That viral video that made its way around the golf world months ago seemed to have inspired his son too!

Just hours ago, Little John tucked away a neat 160-yard ace while playing at the Council Fire Golf Club. Taking to Instagram, the club congratulated him with pride. Daly Jr. was at the 14th hole when he swung his 9-iron to hole the ball in a single shot, impressing everyone who watched. Well, like father, like son!

Despite this being a huge milestone and possibly his first hole-in-one, it certainly isn’t the first time Daly Jr. has impressed the golf world with his skills. In fact, he has done so multiple times in the last 3 years, especially at the PNC Championship. The young golfer has been competing alongside his father for the last few years at the parent-child event.

In 2021, the pair even won the championship, beating Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie Woods, by two strokes to take home the championship belts. The viewers had nothing but praise for the 19-year-old, and it seems like he has only stepped up his game since then.
