Ryder Cup is one of the most anticipated events in the golfing circuit, and not just for fans. Being one of the few events where captains choose some players instead of a complete roster designed by the association, every golfer has to be on their toes to prove their mettle to the leaders from afar.
With every event, new names make it to the top of the list while players with auto spots at the beginning of the year can trickle off their position, putting their Ryder Cup dreams in jeopardy. One PGA Tour golfer has been striving hard this year and even managed to capture a substantial win to improve his Ryder Cup standings.
PGA Tour pro shares his heartfelt thoughts about Ryder Cup

The first FedEx Cup Playoff is over and the second of the determinant events is about to begin. The BMW Championship at the Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois is set to tee off on the 17th of August. Amid the anticipation, Travelers Championship winner, Keegan Bradley, opened up about his goals during a press conference.

“The one spot I want to be on is that Ryder Cup team,” the American golfer admitted. He went on to explain that he would have to attain a higher standing than he is now, thus he is working to improve his Ryder Cup ranks. He also expressed how playing at the FedEx Cup playoffs is a milestone in itself. For a long time, he didn’t expect to be in such a good position to play the “50% field” with a tremendous year worth of good performances.
The 2011 Rookie of the year also admitted that the players have a lot at stake in the following couple of weeks till the FedEx Playoffs are underway. “Whether it’s money, whether it’s, you know, Ryder Cup — there’s so much to play for and that’s really exciting,” he said. The American golfer is in 11th place on the Ryder Cup standings at this time and is a viable candidate for Team US.

Bradley had a lot to celebrate in his early years as a professional and now he appears to be getting back in form.

Keegan Bradley set the bar for himself a long time ago
When the golfer from Vermont joined the PGA Tour in 2011, he captured the title at his first Major Tournament, the PGA Championship. It was his maiden major debut and victory. To date, the American golfer has acquired 6 PGA Tout event titles, including the Travelers Championship in 2023 which helped improve his FedEx Cup and Ryder Cup rankings.
For a short time, he was also part of the OWGR. He is known around the circuit as a unique personality but most notably, he set a bar for himself that he always tries to reach. In the 2022-23 season, he admits that he had a fantastic year and is looking forward to an invitation to Ryder Cup.
