51 years ago, the oldest continuing LPGA event was founded. It is none other than The Portland Classic which is underway at the Columbia Edgewater Macan Course. The price purse for the event is a whopping sum of $1,500,000.

Top players from across the world are playing at the event. Among the field of these top contestants is Jenny Shin. The golfer is currently tied at 25th position but it’s not her game but a hilarious tweet from her that has drawn plenty of attention.

In the past, Jenny Shin has opened up about her own mental health struggles. After she secured a spot for the US Women’s Open, she disclosed her journey toward qualifying for the event was a testament to her resilience as the struggles she faced were not on the course but rather with respect to her mental health.

She admitted that with every passing day it was getting increasingly difficult for her to keep faith in her own game because of the slump in her golf performance. She confessed that she was struggling with takeaway and tee shots.

Shin has been a professional for the past 13 years and has withstood the test of time watching the sport transform as each year passed. Now that she’s in a better space and performing well. As a result, her sense of humor has once again returned and the fans could not be happier.

She recently tweeted “I drink sparkling water. I’m cool, you’re not.” This witty tweet left the fans making their own comic reactions in the comments section.

Debate around sparkling and alkaline water

Several fans have flocked to Twitter to react to the golfer’s recent tweet. Sparkling water has been the center of attention and several comments were made on it.
