Golf is a sport with a lot of mental and physical stress. The golfers are on the course from dusk to dawn, which often takes a toll on their bodies, especially their backs. Back injuries are one of the most common physical hardships that is observed in golfers, and it impacts their game to a huge extent. 

One such adored PGA pro has been going through back troubles for a very long time. The 27-year-old has been off the course for almost the entire year and has finally shared his cheerful plans of making a much-awaited comeback on the course.

Will Zalatoris has been absent from the PGA Tour because of his back injury and rehabilitation for the whole season, and his fans are longing to see him in action again. Well, his fans’ wishes might just come true very soon, as the golfer shared that he’s working hard to get better and return to the course fully healed.

NUCLR GOLF, a popular Twitter page, posted a video of Zalatoris unboxing a care package that he received from one of his sponsors, UKG, a $3.3 billion software giant. The golfer’s inner child came out screaming as he looked at all the treats and also shared an update on his return. 

He said about his sponsor, “They know I’ve been working hard to get back to get back out on the golf course course.” Talking about his feelings about his return, he said, “I’m looking forward to getting out there back soon.

The golfer then went ahead and opened his care package that had all the treats such as his favorite candies, popcorn, his favorite pizza, fuzzy slippers, and a blanket to snuggle in. As the golfer took out stuff from the package, his sweet tooth was drooling looking at all the candies!

Thanking UKG for the gesture, he said, “Thanks y’all really mean a lot. We’re working our tail off to get back out there, and we’ll see you guys soon.” Zalatoris’ update on his return has excited the fans, and they are looking forward to seeing him on the course. But what caused the golfer’s back injury, and for how long has he been sitting out?

Will Zalatoris’ prolonged absence from the Tour? 

During the 2022 BMW Championship in August, the 27-year-old golfer injured his back on the third hole. He got two herniated discs in his back and unfortunately had to withdraw from the BMW Championship, and then the Tour Championship. Since then, he has been on the sidelines. 

After sustaining the injury, the golfer was scheduled to make his return in January earlier this year, and he did. Unfortunately, he then had to withdraw from Masters because his back pain resurfaced, and he later underwent surgery to solve his persistent back issues. Ever since he has been sitting outside of the ropes.
