Brooks Koepka and his wife Jena Sims never lose an opportunity to portray their affection for each other. Back in May, ahead of LIV Tulsa at Cedar Ridge Country Club, the 33-year-old was happily gushing about how he wished his soon-to-be-born baby gets most traits from his wife. In the process, Koepka accidentally addressed the baby as ‘he’, letting slip the gender. Jena Sims however did not hesitate in taking the revealtion in her stride, as she soon uploaded a video confirming the same.
Currently, the five-time major winner is all set to play in the Open Championship to be held at the Royal Liverpool Golf Course at Hoylake. The upcoming competition has naturally bought in much hype to the golfing world but what has fans even more exhilarated is the updates on their new baby. Recently in a press conference, Koepka shared his thoughts about the same which left his fans much excited!

In a recent presser, when asked about his feelings about becoming a father, Koepka went on to express his excitement as he said, “Yeah, it’ll be fun. I’m excited for it.”. He continued by saying that while he is working for the month, his wife and Kristin McDowell are doing most of the prep work for the pregnancy.
“It’s been an interesting few months just prepping for it all.” said the golfer while answering the question, adding, “Yeah, got to manage my time a little differently, which will be interesting. I’m excited for it.” The golfer seems to be in high spirits as he prepares himself to become a father.
Koepka has always been much excited about the birth of his baby. When the couple had announced their pregnancy, they were careful as to not reveal the baby’s gender. But Koepka, in his excitement, had given a massive slip-up when he addressed the baby as a boy during the interview. His elation had finally led to the cat coming out of the bag.

Koepka’s change in priorities
In the interview ahead of the Tulsa event, the 33-year-old golfer had revealed to his fans the change in perspective that the baby would bring into his life. He had said that the game was not his whole life and that his happiness depended on other things. While nothing will change till their child comes, he is certain that the arrival of his baby boy will bring changes to his life as well, especially golf.
Koepka still stands by the statement he made as he said “Golf is probably going to take a backseat. My family will take priority” in the recent presser ahead of the Open Championship. One thing is for certain, he will be very happy when Koepka Junior comes into the world.
