Scheffler is ranked number one in the world golf ranking; however, surprisingly, he was unable to win a single round at the Ryder Cup. This comes as a surprise considering his supreme ranking.

His failure to win a single round of the 2023 Ryder Cup and then having a tie with Jon Rahm in Sunday’s singles was a huge disappointment.

Scheffler is the world’s number 1 golfer yet he struggled at the Marco Simone Golf Club, Rome. He was paired with Brooks Koepka but the duo could not together take down the world no. 4 Hovland, and rookie Ludvig Aberg.

This came in as a major disappointment to the world’s number 1 golfer who had his sights set on the Ryder Cup.
