Team Europe won the Ryder Cup 16.5-11.5 by putting on a phenomenal performance last week in Rome. They started the first session 4-0 against the Americans and kept the lead all through three days. With the win, they maintained their record of not losing on European soil since 1993.

As the Americans suffered the humiliating defeat, Professional golfer and Influencer Hailey Ostrom wondered if the Americans would have won the Ryder Cup with more LIV Golf players on the team. This time around, there was just one.

Team US has not won a single Ryder Cup on European soil in the last 30 years. This year, the American public had hoped for a change in fortune but the grand performance of Team Europe shattered that sweet dream.

Day one was bizarre for Team US, as they only scored 1.5 through 8 matches. The Americans were trailing by 5 points entering the singles round on Sunday. The fate of the game rested on Rickie Fowler’s performance. Fowler was 1 down against Tommy Fleetwood at 16th.

On a par-four hole, Fowler’s first shot landed in water. Fleetwood found the putting surface in his turn. Fowler made some kind of comeback from the drop zone and looked good for a par. Fleetwood’s second shot found him three feet from a birdie opportunity, at which point Fowler conceded.

The unfortunate turn of events left people disappointed. Hailey Ostrom suggested that if captain Zach Johnson had selected more players from LIV Golf, maybe there was a chance of Team America retaining the Ryder Cup.

The only player in the Ryder Cup from LIV Golf was Brooks Koepka. He proved his worth with 1.5 points from three games he participated in, the best performer among the six American picks. The Diva suggested a few notable players like Patrick Reed, Dustin Johnson, and Bryson DeChambeau, who could have been added to Team US. These players have played extraordinarily in the previous Ryder Cups. But they were snubbed as they left the PGA Tour and joined LIV Golf and as a result, couldn’t earn many points to qualify.
