His latest conquest has been at the US Senior Open. He finished the event at 7-under-par and his win helped the golfer set a new record. Thrilled by his success, the golf legend Gary Player could not stop himself from praising the veteran. In fact, he proclaimed some great words for the German athlete.

After a momentous victory at the SentryWorld, Bernhard Langer proved that age is just a number. He defeated the odds and claimed his 12th senior major win on the PGA Tour Champions. This phenomenal triumph could not be overlooked by anyone. At the age of 65 years, Langer showed that love for the game and hard work never goes in vain.
Gary Player, the South African golfer who is nicknamed ‘The Black Knight’, has applauded the resilience and skills of his friend. Through an Instagram post, the legend said, “Words can’t describe Bernhard Langer’s historic US Senior Open victory“.

“His longevity in the game is breathtaking, but it is no real surprise when you understand how hard he works,” Player added. He referred to the German golfer as “one of the greatest golfers in history“. The three-time Masters winner concluded with a congratulatory note.

While the performance in itself was exceptional, it was more than just a victory. The win at SentryWorld allowed Bernhard Langer to become the player with the most wins on the PGA Tour Champions. A whopping 46 victories in total. With the win, he left Hale Irwin completely behind.
Additionally, he also became the oldest winner on the tour. Just like Gary Player, fans also could not stop themselves from commenting on this win. One fan thinks Langer has set a high bar for Tiger Woods.
